All the small schools of the area, now long gone, are commemorated with plaques.

These photos show the commemorative plaques for the original site of the Mt Barney School from 1901-1962; the Rathdowney Commercial Bank built in 1911; and the original site of the Rathdowney Sawmill from 1948-1969.
